The Australian Bridal Industry Academy is pushing for higher standards by wedding suppliers by drafting proposed industry standards for specific types of goods and services. The ABIA, which runs awards and a ratings scheme for wedding vendors, is concerned about the imapct of sloppy operators on brides and the vast majority of professional suppliers. Full article.
An innovative progam from New York Foundation for the Arts is helping artists and creative types learn the skills to develop a sustainable business. Participants include Paul Barman who creates personalized, hip-hop versions of the traditional Jewish wedding contract, known as the ketubah, that he writes and sings. Read more.
