The big news here in the UK is, of course, the Royal Wedding of Prince William to Kate Middleton. With the date and venue now set, we are into lots of speculation about the dress plus discussion about the impact this will have on the wedding industry. Nordstrom is the latest mainstream retailer to enter the bridal market. The first 2 in-store boutiques have opened in Chicago and San Antonio with 12 more due in the next few weeks. The stores aim to combine affordable and stylish gowns with high-end service and are also introducing added touches like Apple i-pads so customers can show the stylist designs they like. Read more
